I had developed some right hip pain after possibly overdoing it with a new exercise regimen. I was very active with Barre, long walks and Yoga up to that point and had never had such focal discomfort. I had been struggling for months trying to find what exercise I could do and also trying to keep **** pain medication to a minimum. I was waking up with discomfort and in the most pain when standing still. This was new and frustrating. I had been able to work around or with everything but waking up with the trouble felt like a betrayal. Finally, I tried the hip brace around October and it was different after 48 hours. I bought 3 and wore them constantly. By January, I was taking something for discomfort only once in the morning and now standing for extended periods caused only minor trouble. By February, I would use it when I worked out or if my workday was going to be busy. At this point, it’s only on for my movement classes. I finally feel safe to work my way back to my pre-injury intensity. The hip brace was a key ingredient.
