I am leaning toward the medium full leg sleeve simply because my thigh measurement 4-5 inches above the knee is 18 inches although I am short. I am muscular and used to compete in bodybuilding but not anymore; however I now have a ligament situation with my right knee and my calf, ankle and knee are swelling up and was advised to get a compression sleeve for runners. What size do you recommend...a small or medium? Also, AI is advising me to get a full leg sleeve vs just the knee compression sleeve since I already have swelling. Is that accurate?

Hello Kim, there are a few different things to be addressed here. Firstly, the Leg Sleeve has a completely different size chart and measuring instructions than the Knee Sleeve. To measure for the Leg Sleeve, you need to take your thigh circumference at the *widest point* at the top of the leg, not just at 4.5" above the top of the knee cap. This is because the Leg Sleeve situates much higher on the leg than the Knee Sleeve does. The size charts are so different between these two products that whichever size you measure into in one product, you will most certainly not be that same size in the other product. You'll want to measure the widest part of the thigh and then consult the Leg Sleeve size chart. Second, Incrediwear is both completely different from and vastly more effective than a compression garment, which does little more than squeeze and actually reduce blood flow and range of motion. Instead, Incrediwear just needs to rest comfortably on the skin, in order for the fabric to be activated by your body heat and release powerful infrared waves that stimulate blood flow, pain relief, swelling reduction, and healing in ways that a compression garment simply cannot achieve. Since you have swelling throughout your leg, the Leg Sleeve is a good choice because it will provide comfortable and powerful infrared therapy to a broader surface area. I am post op meniscus repair and am non weight bearing for 6 weeks. I bought the size based on my thigh measurement and it is so long on my leg. Rolled over it feels too tight on my thigh especially with my brace on. Do you have any for people that are 5’4?

Hello Jenni, Thank you for reaching out. The Leg Sleeves do not have different length options, unfortunately. While we have had customer of shorter stature wear them with no issues, we know that every body is made differently! I have a couple of suggestions- instead of rolling over the top hem, you can roll over the bottom hem to avoid that tighter fit. Or, you can allow the bit of extra material to bunch around the ankle, as that will not reduce the efficacy at all. Additionally, some people wear the top hem at mid thigh or just above, when it should actually be at the upper thigh, close to the buttock. Hopefully, one of these suggestions help. I plan to purchase this leg sleeve for after ACL surgery but expect my quad to shrink in size post surgery compared to my pre op thigh measurement (21 inches). Should I size down?

Hello Bella! I wouldn't recommend sizing down, it because it is better to have Incrediwear be a bit too loose than to have it be too tight. Incrediwear just needs to rest comfortably on the skin in order to emit powerful infrared therapy, but if worn too tightly, it could compress and reduce blood flow, defeating the purpose of the product. If the garment is too loose, you can shrink it by washing/wetting it first, then drying it on a moderately high heat setting. This won't hurt the garment, and you can increase the heat setting as needed. Just don't start with max heat so that you don't over shrink it. There isn't a special trick you can do to make the garment any less tight if it is already too tight, though.

Are they latex free?

Leg Sleeves-all colors have silicone in the top band. They do not have latex in them.
